In celebration of World Egg Day, this casserole highlights the nutrition of the egg, baked with savory ground beef and a blend of the creamiest cheeses. It's a satisfying, protein-packed breakfast or brunch dish designed for simplicity and incredible flavor.

Ingredients:
For the Savory Ground Beef:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Tony's Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning (adjust to taste)
For the Creamy Egg & Cheese Filling:
10 large eggs (yolks and whites combined)
1/2 cup milk or cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup ricotta cheese
4 ounces cream cheese, softened and cut into cubes
1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Swiss cheese (no blue cheese)
Instructions:
Prepare Savory Ground Beef:
Step 1.) Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease the 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2.) Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef. Cook for 6-8 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula, until no longer pink.
Step 3.) Drain any excess fat using a colander. Return beef to the skillet.
Step 4.) Stir in 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and Tony's Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning. Cook for 1 minute more until fragrant. Remove from heat.
Prepare Egg Filling and Assemble:
Step 5.) In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk or cream, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
Step 6.) Whisk in ricotta cheese until mostly smooth.
Step 7.) Spread the seasoned ground beef evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Step 8.) Scatter the softened cream cheese cubes evenly over the beef layer.
Step 9.) Pour the egg mixture over the top of the beef and cheese layers.
Step 10.) Sprinkle 1.5 cups shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
Bake and Serve:
Step 11.) Place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the eggs are completely set in the center and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Step 12.) Using your oven mitts, remove the casserole from the oven. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
