G is for Grammar

If you know me at all, it is probably not a surprise that I chose "grammar" as what I'd write for the letter G.  After all, I completely admit to being a grammar nazi and I also admit to being terrible at editing my own work. It does drive me crazy if I write something for anybody to read, then I go back and I catch spelling and grammar mistakes that I made for any reason.

I love all those grammar things that are critical or funny about there, their, and they're.  I also like the its an dit's things even though I have caught myself accidentally typing the wrong one at times.  It is pretty easy to remember, though. Its is the possessive and "it's" means "it is."

I am picky about the rules of grammar, unless, of course, it's poetry and definitely poetic license or vernacular is being quoted.  Of course, I think that in order to break the rules, you need to know the rules first.  So, if you want to break the rules of grammar, know the rules of grammar first.  Then the breaking of the rules will be effective.
