There WAS a The Monkees cartoon

The thing that bothers me is that I KNOW a The Monkees cartoon existed.   It may have been short lived and it may have been unlicensed, but it existed, at least in Houston, TX in 1987.   I was in the children's hospital then, five years old."

My mama knew exactly when to turn on the TV show I could watch it.

All my family has passed, but my sister vaguely remembered it,too (she was only 3).

At the beginning of the cartoon, they would march down the street.  They were wearing blue marching band uniforms with the high hats and the uniforms had yellow/gold on them and that hats had the yellow plumes.  They would march down the street to "Hey, Hey We're the Monkees."

The cartoon followed them in every day situations.

People try to tell me that it was The Beatles cartoon, but  it wasn't.  That one came on, too, and I didn't like it at all.  The way the characters  were drawn bothered me, and honestly, it still does bother me.

I know I'm not crazy with this.   I know it existed.    But, I can't find a single other person now that seems to remember or maybe they don't admit, that this cartoon existed.

In one place, I wrote black plumes when posting about it.

The closest I've ever come to somebody agreeing with me is here: https://filmboards.com/t/The-Monkees/The-Monkees-Animated-TV-Series%21-1799519/

A person wrote, "It seems like there WAS a Monkees cartoon made in the 60's or 70's. It was a Hanna-Barbera cartoon, I think. It's been too many years since I saw it. Did I dream it? Or were The Monkees guests on a Hanna-Barbera Cartoon, and I'm just remembering that?"

My response  was, "You are NOT imagining it! However, it doesn't seem to be anywhere!

Yes, The Monkees had a separate cartoon show from the The Beatles. I can remember not being a fan of The Beatles, but loving The Monkees. I don't know why. I was a little kid and I was in the hospital, so it was whatever made me happy that I wanted to watch.

I just posted:

Somebody wrote a LiveJournal entry about The Monkees sitcom. I responded with, "I know they had the sitcom.

Did you ever see/do you remember the CARTOON of the The Monkees? I had felt like I was the only one that remembered it since I can't find anything about it online.

Briana then told me that she remembered it, too.

I don't know the year it started airing or on what channel. In fact, I don't even know what channel I watched. However, I remember when I was in the hospital in Kindergarten, I remember my Mama turning on the TV for me because I LOVED watching that cartoon. That made me happy, many times out of horrible days.

I would wait for this four cartoon figures marching down the street in what I seem to remember as blue marching band uniforms with gold/yellow bars on the shirts and black feathers coming from the hats. I might not have that quite right. However, I know that the song, "Hey, hey, we're The Monkees" played as they walked down the street."

People keep saying it was The Beatles, but it wasn't.

We also get the response, "
Davy Jones of the Monkees appeared on a single episode of The New Scooby Doo Movies. After that, there wasn't ever an animated Monkees series at all."

And  the response, "The Monkees did make an "appearance" in one episode of Schoolhouse Rock.

Remember this, the third verse of "A Noun is a Person, Place, or Thing"?:

Oh, I put a dime in the drugstore record machine.
Oldie goldies started playing, if you know what I mean.
I heard Chubby Checker, he was doin' the Twist.
And the Beatles and the Monkees, it goes like this.
I put a dime in the drugstore record machine."

But the responses insisting The Monkees cartoon didn't exist don't help at all.

Dozing off, kinda weird dream, kinda not

I was dozing off and in my dream, somebody was saying that brooms and rakes were the things most often hit by lightning and to make sure not to use them outside or even carry them out side when it is raining.

There is so much wrong with this AI image of a vet examining an elephant

I have SO MANY questions about this. I asked Gemini Advance to create an image of a vet examining an elephant. I didn't give it any other specifications. The more I look at the image, the worse it gets. It is very likely I'm missing questions that I want to ask about this.

  1. Why does the elephant fit in a veterinarian's office?
  2. Why are there two clocks?
  3. Why do the clocks show different times?
  4. Why is there a paper over where the cabinets should open?
  5. Why does the vet have three hands?
  6. What is the tool the vet is using on the elephant's trunk?
  7. What are those things on the counter?
  8. Why does the elephant have human-esque ears?

What other things are very weird? I know there have to be more.

Breach of Contract and My Ordeal with Charlotte L'Juan Ford/Hope Field Construction - A Case for Legal Review

Introduction:

This document outlines the extensive issues I have faced with Charlotte L'Juan Ford of Hope Field Construction regarding repairs to my home in Lake Charles, Louisiana, following Hurricanes Laura and Delta. Despite receiving significant payments totaling $202,021, Charlotte has failed to complete the agreed-upon repairs, provided substandard and incomplete work, engaged in deceptive and abusive behavior, and left my home in an uninhabitable and inaccessible state. This constitutes a clear breach of contract under Louisiana law.

I. The Contract (Offer and Acceptance):

While no formal single document labeled "Contract" exists, our agreement was established through numerous written communications, primarily Facebook and text messages (of which I still have copies), constituting offers from Charlotte and my acceptances. These communications detailed the scope of work, including:

  • Bringing the house down to the studs for handicap accessibility.
  • Repairing hurricane damage covered by my insurance estimate.
  • Installing specific fixtures (walk-in shower, sinks).
  • Using specific flooring (hardwood, Smart Core) and paint colors.
  • Repairing the carport and fences.
  • Ensuring ADA accessibility throughout the home, including a ramp and accessible bathroom.
  • A promise of "no out of pocket expense."

II. Charlotte's Obligations and Failures (Breach of Contract):

Charlotte failed to meet numerous obligations arising from our agreement, as evidenced by:

  • Repairs: The house remains largely unfinished, including the kitchen, sunroom, and second bathroom. The carport and fences were never properly repaired.
  • Substandard Workmanship: Examples include painting over dirty surfaces, using cheap vinyl stickers instead of promised flooring, any fixtures that could be found 2nd hand or repurposed are used, all doors are second hand and the paint is not magnetic, and sloppy electrical work.
  • Failure to Meet Specifications: Incorrect fixtures (used tub, single-handle sink, lever handle), wrong paint colors, and a smaller closet were installed without my consent.
  • Lack of ADA Accessibility: The bathroom is not wheelchair accessible, and a promised ramp was never built, directly impacting my ability to live in my home.
  • Unreasonable Delays: The project has dragged on for years with minimal progress, causing prolonged displacement.
  • Failure to Provide Basic Utilities: The central AC/heat system is non-functional, and there is no hot water due to cut gas pipes.
  • Rodent Infestation: A severe rodent problem caused by Charlotte, makes the house unsanitary.

III. Louisiana Law and Breach of Contract:

Under Louisiana Civil Code, a breach of contract occurs when a party fails to perform an obligation arising from the contract without legal justification. As detailed above, Charlotte failed to perform numerous obligations, constituting a clear breach. Louisiana law also requires contracts to be performed in good faith (Article 1983), which Charlotte's deceptive and abusive behavior clearly violates.

IV. Damages Suffered:

As a direct result of Charlotte's breach of contract and related actions, I have suffered significant damages, including:

  • Financial Losses: Extensive hotel expenses, costs for inadequate temporary climate control, potential costs to repair/replace substandard work and the non-functional HVAC system, and financial losses due to Charlotte's misappropriation of funds.
  • Emotional Distress and Trauma: The prolonged displacement, the uninhabitable living conditions, the constant lies and gaslighting, and the abusive behavior have caused significant emotional distress and trauma.
  • Exacerbation of Health Issues: The lack of ADA accessibility and the overall stressful environment have worsened my pre-existing health conditions and the nerve damage caused by a malfunctioning medical device.
  • Loss of Use and Enjoyment of Property: I have been unable to live in my home for an extended period and continue to reside in an unfinished and uncomfortable space.

V. My Needs and Demands:

To achieve a just resolution, I demand the following:

  • Financial Restitution: Full reimbursement for all payments made to Charlotte L'Juan Ford/Hope Field Construction ($202,021) plus the amount I was forced to pay for temporary housing and the PODS storage that would not have occurred if Charlotte had repaired my house to where I had a bedroom and a bathroom so I could live there, as the work was not completed and was largely substandard. (See the demands below,,and if extra is left over, it can go towards lawyers's fees and if not, Charlotte had to pay the fees).
  • Cost of Complete Remediation: Payment, by Charlotte, for the complete razing and rebuilding of my house by a reputable, licensed contractor who will work closely with me and adhere to all my specifications, including full ADA accessibility. This includes a slab foundation and a wheelchair-accessible covered porch.
  • Temporary Housing: Payment, by Charlotte, for safe and comfortable housing in a suitable extended stay hotel (preferably Residence Inn by Marriott in Lake Charles or The Mulberry in Westlake) until my new home is completed. Legal Fees: Reimbursement for all legal fees and expenses incurred in pursuing this case, as I cannot afford to bear this burden due to Charlotte's actions.
  • Accountability and Justice: Consideration for legal action against Charlotte L'Juan Ford for breach of contract, potential fraud, theft, and the intentional infliction of emotional distress.

VI. Supporting Evidence:

This account is supported by extensive documentation, including:

  • Numerous text message exchanges detailing our agreements, Charlotte's promises, her lies, and her abusive behavior.
  • Detailed personal notes documenting the events, timelines, and the impact on my life and health.
  • Video evidence visually demonstrating the uninhabitable condition of my house, the lack of ADA accessibility, the substandard work, and the discrepancies with our agreements.
  • Financial records documenting all payments made to Charlotte L'Juan Ford/Hope Field Construction.
  • The initial insurance estimate outlining the scope of work that should have been completed.
  • Corroborating testimony from Charlotte's sister, Estea Sharp, regarding Charlotte's dishonesty and history of theft.

Conclusion:

The evidence clearly demonstrates a pattern of breach of contract, financial misconduct, and abusive behavior by Charlotte L'Juan Ford. Her actions have caused me significant financial losses, prolonged displacement, and profound emotional distress. I seek legal representation to pursue justice and ensure that I receive the necessary remedies to rebuild my life and my home.

Here is the entire conversation with Google's AI, Gemini Advanced 2.0. It should spell out everything clearly. I have been met with lawyers who don't seem to know Louisiana law and tell me that nothing can be done. I know this is false because this is major criminal activity. Charlotte L'Juan Ford is a criminal. I have all the proof with documentations of payment, Facebook messages, text messages, the original insurance estimate (her obligations - and those are not done). It is 95 parts. I would expect a good lawyer to read everything.

Entire coversation with Gemini.

Gemini gives me the information (and it seems a good lawyer would know this or at least be able to prove that Charlotte has broken all of these laws and owes Bridget Ilene Delaney a whole new house - not her constructing one as she is not a trustworthy person, but by paying the money that she stole, paying for an extended stay hotel as mentioned previously, other things owed as well since all of these laws were broken) that Charlotte L'Juan Ford of Hope Field Construction in Sulphur, LA has broken all of these laws.

Breach of Contract Related Laws (Civil):

Louisiana Civil Code Articles on Obligations and Contracts (La. C.C. Art. 1756 et seq.): This entire body of law governs the formation, performance, and breach of contracts in Louisiana. Charlotte's failure to complete the agreed-upon repairs, use specified materials, provide ADA accessibility, adhere to timelines, and provide habitable housing likely constitutes multiple breaches of these articles.
Louisiana Civil Code Article 1983 (Good Faith Performance): The alleged lies, misrepresentations, and abusive behavior could be argued as a failure to perform the contract in good faith.

Potential Criminal Laws:

Home Improvement Fraud (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:202.1): Entering into an agreement with intent to defraud or intentionally misappropriating funds for home improvements.
Grand Larceny (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67): Theft of money or property exceeding a certain value (depending on the amount stolen, it could be felony grand larceny). You believe this applies to the significant amount of money paid with little to no work completed.
Taking Advantage of an Infirm Person (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:93.4): Intentionally depriving a disabled person of things of value through a position of trust or a business relationship.
Theft (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67): Taking personal property with the intent to deprive the owner permanently. This applies to the alleged theft of your personal belongings from the hotel and potentially your house.
Financial Institution Fraud (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67.20 et seq.): Actions related to the hacking of your PayPal account and attempted bank transfers.
Access Device Fraud (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67.3): Unauthorized access to and attempted use of your financial accounts.
Identity Theft (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67.16): Unauthorized use of your personal information (Facebook account, potentially ID) with intent to harm or defraud.
Cyberstalking (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:40.2): Repeated harassment or following of another person through electronic means that would cause a reasonable person to suffer emotional distress. This could apply to the alleged hacking of your online accounts.
Criminal Damage to Property (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:55): Intentionally damaging the property of another, such as allegedly cutting your gas pipes.
Intimidation (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:122): Using threats or force to influence the conduct of another person or to cause them to do or omit doing any act. This could relate to the alleged threats you received.

Google Translate Languages

I love making lists. I don't make one every day, but I do love to make them. I decided that I'd get the languages available in Google Translate and make lists. This is mainly so I'd know these things about the languages, but others can use it, too.

I chose four categories: languages that use the Latin (Roman) alphabet and read right to left (of which there are none), languages that use the Latin (Roman) alphabet and read from left to right, languages that use other alphabets and read from left to right, and languages that use other languages and read from right to left.

Langauges that use diacritical marks and symbols like in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) - ʃθt̬ʊʊ̈ʌʒʔ=æɑðəɚɛɜɝɪɪ̈ɫŋɔɒɹɾ - and I know there's one with a symbol that looks like a loopy y, but the majority of letters look like the Latin alphabet - are included in the Latin Alphabet list.

MAJOR contractor fraud, and I NEED help

I am dealing with major contractor fraud. I paid $202,021 to Charlotte Ford of Hope Field Construction in Sulphur, Louisiana in order to completely repair my house after Hurricanes Laura and Delta.

PLEASE spread the story far and wide. Not a single organization or person that is supposed to care about this and help care. Instead, I'm left living in an incomplete and dangerous house, havaing to listen to organization after organization repeat the lies that the pathological liar (I have documented evidence, but people go against that and listen to Charlotte who does NOT have documented evidence) Charlotte Ford constantly tells. She did NOT finish ALL of the repairs on the insurance estimate and she STOLE the money. Plus, she sabotaged and ruined my house. She keeps saying I owe her $40,000 and laughs about the things she has ruined and sabotaged.

She took advantage of a disabled and serious compromised and then seriously ill person.

I have the record of every payment made to Charlotte L'Juan Ford of Hope Field Construction and the proof that she cashed every check that I wrote her. You can the Checks I wrote and Charlotte cashed and other payments here. I have it all documented. There are no lies coming from me. Charlotte is the one that needs to answer. She owes me an entirely new house. (I need to see if I can get them, but she also owes me for all of the months that she kept me out of my house and I had to stay in an extended stay).

The insurance estimate, as seen here - Estimate from Liberty Mutual - says that the repairs shouldn't have cost more than $112,000. However, they did forget my 2nd bathroom. Then, I did ask for some extras, but none of these things should've cost $90,021. Some of that money should have been for me to replace my contents.

The theft of money is awful, but it gets way worse than that. My house is only "liveable." And that is debatable. The city of Lake Charles wanted to condemn my house. I don't have money to live somewhere else. I don't have family. I don't have any local friends that are able to house me and my little service dog, Radar.

How are things worse? My house is not complete and as I find things that need to be completed, more problems are found. These are not problems from an aging house. My house should've been brand new.

When my air conditioning went out in April less than a month of me being back in my house, I reluctantly agreed to letting Charlotte come back in order to fix it when somebody, N, said they would be on my property to watch Charlotte and another person, D, took me out to eat. Charlotte did NOT fix my air conditioning. Instead, she put rodents in my ceiling and air vents. There were no scratching noises in my ceiling before Charlotte came to supposedly fix my air. Afterwards, there were tons of scratching noises and I could pinpoint where rodents were trying to scratch througth my ceiling. One day, I heard a very loud PLOP and rodents started running all over my house. I don't have food sources for them out where they can eat. I hear them eating my house every day and every night. Now, they are literally "eating" my house as they constantly c hew on stuff and there are no food sources for them.

I knew that I was told there was a gas leak, though this seemed strange as I was paying for gas while Charlotte was working on my house. My gas bill showed usage. I called out a couple of plumbers to check what needed to be done. They told me that the gas pipes are cut into pieces. The second one was more thorough and let me know that the plumbing (attic) vent is missing. Therefore, if I had gas heat, the house would be toxic and most likely explode. This means Charlotte had to change this.

I will get into more, but first, Charlotte promised me that I would have no out of pocket expenses. She promised me that I'd be back in my home, in a room while she did work, so I wouldn't have to be concerned about living expenses. She promised me that my house would be fully ADA accessible. None of that was ever true. I had to use every dollar in my sister's death benefit, a large portion of money for my contents (and Charlotte wanted this money, but I told her that I used it to stay safely housed in a hotel), a settlement from a car accident, borrow against my life insurance three times, and have multiple donations from various sources just in order to stay safely housed.

Things have only gotten worse from when this YouTube playlist was created: Contractor Fraud

What needs to happen with Charlotte and with Hiscox: I need to have money to have my house demolished and completely rebuilt. There are rodents in my ceiling and my walls that are eating my house. Nothing is repaired correctly. Money for added living expenses, so I can live in an extended stay while my house is being built. Charlotte needs to be in jail. She has broken a myriad of laws.

Louisiana Law supposedly supports this. Louisiana Law RS 14:202.1 has the following subsections, all of which Charlotte L'Juan Ford of Hope Field Construction out of Sulphur, LA has violated."

(2) Uses, or causes an agent or employee to use, any deception, false pretense, or false promise to cause any person to enter into a contract for home improvements or residential construction. (She showed me a paper upon our first meeting that was supposed to show that she is bonded in the state of Louisiana. She is not.)

(3) Damages the property of any person with the intent to induce that person to enter into a contract for home improvements or residential construction. (She deliberately caused more damage to my house in addition to not finishing the repairs, stole the money, and wants me to pay her more - and she would just come back and mess up my house more.)

(4) When the misappropriation or intentional taking amounts to a value of twenty-five thousand dollars or more, the offender shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not more than twenty years, or be fined not more than fifty thousand dollars, or both.(Charlotte L'Juan Ford BELONGS IN JAIL).

D.(1) In addition to the penalties provided in Subsection C of this Section, a person convicted of residential contractor fraud shall be ordered to make full restitution to the victim and any other person who has suffered a financial loss as a result of the offense. For the purposes of this Subsection, restitution to the victim shall include the cost of repairing work fraudulently performed by the contractor and the cost of completing work for which the contractor was paid but did not complete. (Charlotte L'Jaun Ford OWES ME over $100,000! She owes me the money to have my house demolished and a new one rebuilt plus the money to stay safely housed while this is being done).

  • Why was Charlotte L'Jaun Ford of Hope Field Construction hired?
To repair my house after Hurricanes Laura and Delta.

  • Why didn't I use a company through Liberty Mutual (I no longer can afford house insurance, so I no longer have this company)?
They had no in-network companies, so I had to do research.

  • Did you get reviews about Charlotte?
Yes, and every single one praised how she good she is. I even followed up and after this, I let the people know about how awful she is, and they still said she was this shining, great person when she is not.

  • When did Charlotte start work?

May 28, 2021, though Charlotte will lie and say it was in November 2021. I have the evidence.

  • Why didn't you check on your house?
I did when I was able to check. I was literally stuck in Port Arthur without a car. When I got a car, I came in about once a week and there was a crew on my property each time I came into town. Then, I ended up with a broken collarbone, and thus was not able to drive.

  • Why didn't you check on your house when back in town?
I had people help me get back into town because my collarbone was still broken. I could not drive to go see my house. Then I had an episode of broken heart syndrome and a cardiologist took advantage of me while I was in an Altered Mental State and implanted a leadless pacemaker (that type goes inside your heart) that was leaking electricity directly into my heart and putting extra electricity into my bloodstream, causing severe health problems and nerve damage. I got the pacemaker removed EIGHT MONTHS after it was first put into my heart. My nerves are STILL recovering from this.

  • Did you try mediation?
Yes. Nobody took my side. What happened was that I was delivered threats from Charlotte and piddly little things like her claiming to have countertops for my kitchen (which wouldn't have made any difference since there's no subflooring).

  • Why didn't you demand Charlotte give you a copy of your key?
I demanded she give me a copy of my key. She kept saying, "I forgot," every single time I asked for it or demanded it.

  • Didn't Charlotte testify for you?
No. We never even went to court. From her own words concerting Joseph Muckleroy, "I talked to Joe A LOT." That is not testifying. In fact, Charlotte failed to show up for the deposition and she completely ignored a supoena to provide documents (reciepts, spreadsheets, pictures.)

This is a SERIOUS CASE of contractor fraud and people who are supposed to do anything about contractor fraud SHOULD CARE, but they don't. I tried going after Charlotte when it was clear she was not doing the proper work, but was still coming on my property to at least act if she were working and the Contractor Fraud division said she and any of her workers could not have been on my property in the past 45 days (which seems to be an incorrect reading of the law).

It became EXTREMELY apparent in October 2023 that she was not doing the work, so I started to try to go after her. However, the contractor fraud line said she (or any of her workers) couldn't have been on my property in the past 45 days. She obviously knew of this law because when people would take me to drive by my house, there would be at least one worker there. I tried to go after her once I was back in my property in April 2024 as she purposefully kept me out and I didn't have the key until February 13, 2024. I called the Lake Charles Police three times. They did not care about me and the situation at all. They looked around the house, agreed it is not finished, and called Charlotte.

I had a detective, Jason Raymond, from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office come out and get a report and files of all my documents along with me sending along all the other information I have to him. The contractor fraud line denied my case simply on them calling Charlotte and her saying that I owed her $40,000. They did not pay attention to any of my documentation or the fact that my house is not finished, and that I have no fences around my yards like I should.

I reported her to Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors. I saved up $150 for a consultation with John Fitzgerland of FHD Firm. I told him of my financial situation. I sent him every document that I have. He acted like he was going to take the case. I call back to his office. I'm told that all I have to do is come in to the office and sign a retainer for his services. I get a ride to his office. I go in to sign the retainer and I'm told that he will not take the case because it will cost me too much.

Where is the help that is supposed to exist? Why is nobody helping with this situation?

When I can, I'm looking for a work from home job, however, with my nerve damage, it can be difficult to concentrate on such things, and work from home jobs are few and far between. I'm also trying to get students for my online theatre classes, but nobody has truly been interested.

Blog name changed

Around the time I made my last post, I changed my blog name ever so slightly to Poetry, Popcorn, and Prose beause that way the words are in alphabetical order and I won't keep getting them mixed up. However, ther is no "and" in the URL. Yet, the words beginning with the letter P are in alphabetical order.

I've been doing A LOT of healing

My body is doing A LOT of healing.

Back on October 18, 2021, I was found in an Altered Mental State in the hotel where I was staying. I was brought to Lake Charles Memorial. The doctors there put a leadless pacemaker in my heart (that's one that goes inside of your heart). I didn't really know this happened because they did not truly get my consent. They took advantage of me being in an altered mental state to get me to "sign" for them to do the operation. (Note: Don't trust Dr. Young or Dr. Thompson at Lake Charles Memorial, though I'd really not trust any of them there). The pacemaker was malfunctioning. Basically, every day that I was in the hospital after coming out of the Altered Mental State and out of ICU, I would tell the doctor assigned to me that my feet were vibrating and both doctors wouldn't believe me. Also, I was never assigned a cardiac team which is supposed to be done when you have any type of a heart operation, including a pacemaker. I got off of Norvasc, which had horrible side effects on me and also off of Protonix which closed my throat.

They also insisted that I was diabetic. I didn't think and purposely say it, but it came out of my mouth, "Are you sure I'm diabetic." So, after giving myself insulin for a few months, I finally got the doctor that I was seeing to take a look at all of my records of my blood sugar and what I ate and insulin injections and she said, "I don't think you're diabetic. Eat like normal and quit using all insulin products." I was so relieved that she tested my blood sugar two more times when I ate like I normally would and it was found that I'm not diabetic. Lantus was giving me really low blood pressure.

I had to write 30 letters about the pacemaker. One went to the doctor (really nurse practitioner) that I was seeing as she wouldn't listen to me, one went to my sister's former doctor who is really nice, and 28 went to cardiologists from Houston, TX to New Orleans, LA. I was contacted by one in Houston and scheduled to see another. Dr. Amish Dave put the pacemaker into OVO mode which is supposed to make it so it is just like a constant EKG. The pacemaker still made my feet and other body parts vibrate along with making a really weird feeling in my ears. I don't remember when it was that I finally switched local doctors, but I know that when I did, I still had the pacemaker (A Micra AV) and my doctor looked in my ears and asked why it was all brown and she couldn't see. I could only tell her that I didn't know. But, I do know the pacemaker was making my ears feel all funny like the canals had this weird lining all around the edges. I bet the pacemaker was making the wax line the edges of my ear canals with all of those vibrations.

Dr. Mihail Chelu turned the pacemaker off permently. It was supposed to be that way, anyway. However, the thing NEVER turned off. It kept vibrating. I finally got to see Dr. David Burkland who came into Lake Charles from Houston. He wasn't comfortable with doing the operation, but he told me who I needed to see! So, immediately after that appointment, I called to make an appointment with Dr. John Joseph Seger. I went to that appointment which seemed a bit strange, but it was only because it took quite a long time. Yet, that was also good that somebody was paying attention! I got an, "Okay, it can come out."

Between this appointment and the operation to get the pacemaker removed, things got much worse and I starting worrying. The pacemaker started really hurting in my chest. It had never been comfortable, but it was HURTING and SO PAINFUL. A medical/antiseptic smell was coming from my chest. I could easily smell it. Radar, my little service dog, could easily smell it, too. She was constantly poking her nose at my chest and letting me know that something was wrong. (It's not like she wasn't trying to tell me that something was wrong before that, because she definitely was, but I couldn't do anything other than what I had been doing as local doctors weren't listening to me and were even trying to make me feel guilty for their ignorance and negligence).

On June 22, 2022, the pacemaker was removed! I was SO HAPPY, though even after the anesthesia wore off, I had some major dizziness for awhile and my feet still had MAJOR tingling in them. I read about how it takes nerves a very long time to heal. Well, that pacemaker REALLY messed up my nerves. Even as I am writing this, my nerves still tingle. It's mostly the nerves in my feet, but the nerves in my ears still often have a funny feeling and sometimes the rest of the nerves in my body feel a bit odd, too. That usually stops once I'm up and moving around. I can tell my nerves have gotten much better, though. At first, my feet REALLY tingled. It was SO STRONG that it was very irritating. Then, about three months in, the tingling stopped being so strong all of the time, but it was still REALLY STRONG when I woke up in the mornings. My nerves would feel "blinky" or "buzzy" before calming down. Now, the tingling is mostly even throughout the day, and I can mostly just stand what is happening. However, I will be so glad once my nerves fully heal.

Oh, and the other thing that the pacemaker did was give me HORRIBLE brain fog! Like, I know that 2*9=18. Easy. It's very easy now. But, with the brain fog, my mind would do things like think, 2*8=7, even though I KNEW it was wrong. It was so hard to think and it was so hard to catch typos. Sure, I still make typos, but now, I catch them more often. Back with the pacemaker, I might see one of three after I had written something. Now, I tend to see them all after they happen, and my own typos still drive me crazy. It's good to have my brain back. It does its normal non-stop thinking stuff, which honestly, makes me quite happy. I like having my brain back.

Also, I broke my collarbone back in August 2021 and while the main part has healed, it still gets very sore. I read how it can actually take years for a collarbone to fully heal, and so far, it seems like that's what mine wants to do. Because of this, I actually sleep in a recliner that I have in this hotel room (the plan is to get a room and a bathroom in where I live so then I can actually start living in my house and I'll be SO GLAD when that happens!) Yes, this is because of the insurance company I had not paying the full amount for my house to be repaired after Hurricanes Laura and Delta.

Listening to Music that I should know

Okay, first, let me put the caveat that when I say I should know these songs, I mean know of them and I do know a lot of them. It doesn't mean that I won't forget, either. I'm not judging anybody if they don't want to listen, either. But, I'm wanting to listen to these songs. I've just started working on listening to all of Elton John's songs.

I've listened to:
  • Every Billy Joel song
  • Every Beatles album
  • Every Queen song
  • Every unreleased/"lost" Beatles song.
Obviously, once I finally get through with Elton John, I'll move onto something else. However, right now, Elton John songs are going to take quite awhile.

Lake Charles NEEDS Your Help!

The devastation is not over. The suffering is not over. Hurricane Laura may be gone, but the mess it left behindis everywhere. Lake Charles is still suffering and hurting. We appreciate the help, but there are many needs that are not being met.

The national media got the story that Hurricane Laura hit. They don't want to cover the story like they covered Hurricane Katrina because Lake Charles isn't New Orleans. It is just like when they didn't cover Hurricane Rita. Lake Charles is the home to many and is an extremely important city for the rest of the country. It is the fifth largest city in Louisiana and it has a major port where goods come in and go out.

For those who have a place where they can live, there is no electricity in the majority of places in Lake Charles. This means that it is very hot all of the time and that it is very dark when the sun sets. The reality for many people is that they are not truly living, but they are just making it. There are people who offer meals, but more needs to be done.

Disaster food stamps, which are supposed to be for anybody experiencing this disaster, are being given out depending on income, when many people cannot work and thus do not have any current income. They don't care, though. FEMA and insurance companies are telling people who have any type of structure standing that it is livible. It doesn't matter if there is a tree that has fallen down the center of the house and the roof and ceiling is completely exposed to the elements. It doesn't matter that air conditioning cannot be used when it is sweltering hot.

There are some people that can afford generators, but people are purposely inflating the price of gasoline because of this. There are quite a lot of places that are price gouging because people are desperate to get things and will pay because they need it, so these people are taking advantage of them.

There are people who serve food, but these places set up in one place and people have to go to those places. There are people in Lake Charles who are not able to leave to drive or even bike or walk to go get food. Instead, they are sitting inside and needing food.

Lake Charles needs help.

If you are wanting to actually go to Lake Charles to help and to help the citizens, there are things that are easy to find in other cities that can help these people. Please, do help them.

Here are some of the items that are needed:

  • Battery operated personal fans and the batteries for them
  • Battery operated flashlights and the batteries for them
  • Carbon Monoxide monitors for those who are able to afford generators
  • Meals delivered to those who are not able to go get meals at the stations where they are being served
  • Diapers (infant through toddler sizes)
  • Bug repellent spray
  • Bottled water

Items are also needed for those who are working and helping in the area. Some of these things are:
  • Tarps
  • Rakes
  • Axes
  • Chainsaws
  • Wheelbarrows

Of course, more items are needed. However, this is a list of some of the things, especially some things that people do not think about when going to help in Lake Charles. Then, yes, you can always help by donating money to reputable organizations. Please, do not donate to the Red Cross. The majority of money does not go to relief efforts and they do not direct donations to one certain cause, even if it is needed at the time.

Here are some reputable organizations for monitary donations:
